Ambassador Hristo Kraevski

Ambassador Hristo Kraevski is a high ranking civil servant with more than 20 years of intensive professional experience at the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Further experience acquired in the field of European parliamentary diplomacy on the position of Permanent representative of Bulgarian Parliament to the European Parliament. Extensive leadership experience on the position of Head of Press and Public relations Directorate of Bulgarian Parliament.

Actively involved in a number of initiatives related to regional policies with a focus on the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

Education

1991 – First English Language School in Sofia;

1996 – Master of journalism and mass communication, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski“. Thesis: “Society and new media - socio-cultural aspects of computer-mediated communication“, being awarded with a certificate for academic contributions

2025 - present           Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kosovo

2023 - 2025               Permanent representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Parliament (based in Brussels, Belgium)

2015 - 2019                Permanent representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Parliament.

Major professional achievements

Active involvement in the preparation of the Parliamentary Dimension of the first Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the Europеan Union (1 January - 30 June2018)

Main coordinator of the project „Online real-time broadcasting of the BG National Assembly’s plenary”. This strategic and long-term project, realized in cooperation with the Bulgarian National Television, marked a new stage in the development of the democratic parliamentary publicity and greater transparency in the legislative process (2011)

Initiator and author of the  project “ European public talks”  - information and communication campaign and a platform for debate on the most pressing issues on Europe’s agenda and Bulgarian membership in the European union , BG Parliament 2012 - 2013

Invited as a guest-speaker in the project “Kosovo Assembly Strengthening Program“ - initiative of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) Kosovo for  improvement of the administrative capacity of the parliamentary administration of the of the Republic of Kosovo, June 2013 

Member of interinstitutional working groups and author of many reports on topics related to European parliamentary diplomacy and regional parliamentary cooperation.
