With reference to the upcoming public holidays in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Astana and its Consular department will not work on 01.05.2024 (Wednesday), 03.05.2024 (Friday), 06.05.2024 (Monday), 07.05.2024 (Tuesday) and 24.05.2024 (Friday).

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Kazakhstan Boyan Hadjiev and the EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kestutis Jankauskas took part in the days of European cinema in Kazakhstan. On 31.10.2023, the Bulgarian film "The naked truth about band Zhiguli" was shown in the hall of Astana International University. The screening aroused strong interest from the students and the youth audience in the city and was visited by diplomats and diplomatic mission officials.

On June 5, 2022 the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. To commemorate this significant date for the bilateral relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Kazakhstan, on June 3, 2022 the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Kazakhstan Boyan Hadjiev and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko exchanged congratulatory messages on behalf of the Heads of State, as well as on behalf of the ministers of foreign affairs of the two countries.

On June 6, 2022 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Boyan Hadjiev, and the Head of VFS Kazakhstan, Ms. Mariya Kurilenko, signed a new two-year contract for the provision of external services by VFS Global.

On the occasion of the celebration of November 1 - the National Revival Leaders Day, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Boyan Hadjiev, held a meeting with the Head of the Bulgarian National Cultural Center "Zlata", Mrs. Olga Andrievskaya and with the Creative Manager of the Bulgarian creative groups to the Center, Mr. Vladimir Dostov.

On the occasion of the celebration of May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and of Slavic literature, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Boyan Hadjiev, visited the city of Pavlodar and the village of Aktogay in Pavlodar region.
