The Finnish-Bulgarian Friendship Association decorated with its honorary Medal "Black Sea" ten of its prominent members. They were rewarded for their long-term experience, commitment and activities to promote the positive image of Bulgaria, the development of the Bulgarian-Finnish relations and the friendly relations between our countries.

Medals were given to Givko Stoyanow (Valkeakoski), Jouni Rantanen (Valkeakoski), Kirsti Stoyanow (Valkeakoski), Taisto Salminen (Turku), Martti Salminen (Turku), Ensio Laine (Turku), Maija Boshkov (Helsinki), Mikki Lehessalo (Helsinki), Kari Helaseppä (Helsinki) and Tapani Salonen (Helsinki).

The event took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Helsinki on September 10, 2020. Ambassador Martin Ivanov and the Chairman of the Association Tapani Salonen delivered welcoming speeches. Ambassador Ivanov handed in the book to the members of the Association, belonging of the famous Bulgarian artist Olga Shehanova-Shishkova, presenting her exhibition "The Lady in Violet".
