Bulgaria joins NATO Cyber Defense Center

Mr. Milen Dimitrov, First Secretary at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Finland, took part in a solemn ceremony for raising the national flag on the occasion of Bulgaria's accession to the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. The Center also marked the accession of Denmark, Norway and Romania. Тhe states made brief speeches, followed by raising the national flags and listening to the national anthems.

The fact that more and more nations are joining up to actively contribute to the advancement of cyber security, reflects the necessity for improved capabilities in the cyber domain.

Founded in 2008, NATO CCDCOE is a NATO-accredited international military organisation, supporting its member nations and NATO with cyber defence expertise in the fields of technology, strategy, operations and law. The core of the Centre includes a diverse group of experts: researchers, analysts and educators. The combination of military, government and industry backgrounds enables the Centre to provide a unique 360-degree approach to cyber defence.
