Between 09 and 11 of April 2023, Mr. Ivaylo Iordanov, Chargé d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing, took part in the "1st Sanya International Rose Cultural Festival". The festival was accompanied by a lot of rose-themed products, Bulgarian cultural exhibition of rose series and intangible national cultural heritage work.

During his visit, Mr. Iordanov held talks with Sanya’s deputy mayor, Mr. Sun Lei and city’s Party secretary, Mr. Zhou Hongbo. The main topic of the talks was to intensify the practical cooperation between Sanya Bureau for Culture and Tourism and representatives of the Bulgarian tourism and cultural sector.

At the opening ceremony of the festival Mr. Ivaylo Iordanov delivered a keynote speech. A pleasant surprise for the guests was the performance of traditional Bulgarian folk songs, accompanied by folk dances by the students of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev”, Plovdiv, Yanitsa Stamenova and Vasilena Vasileva.
