The award-winning film “Because I Love Bad Weather” (2024) by Bulgarian film director and screenwriter Yana Lekarska is now available for online watching in Canada from December 1 to December 15, 2024, as part of the online edition of the European Union Film Festival.

The Bulgarian director successfully completed her Canadian tour after participating in the in-person part of the European Union Film Festival – on November 16 in Ottawa and on November 21 in Toronto. Ms. Lekarska held free screenings of the film especially for the Bulgarian audience in Niagara Falls (November 20), Toronto (November 22) and Montreal (November 23).

“Because I Love Bad Weather” was also screened in Vancouver on November 26 as part of the European Union Film Festival, as well as on November 30 for the Bulgarian community in Calgary.

All screenings enjoyed great interest from the audience. During her participation, the Bulgarian director held lively discussions with the spectators.
