Bulgaria and its partners marked the International Day of Play for the third consecutive year at UN Headquarters in New York.
The event was organized jointly by Bulgaria and the other countries of the Core Group that initiated the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution on the International Day of Paly, as well as by UNICEF, UNESCO, and non-governmental organizations.
Bulgaria was represented by Krassimira Beshkova, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. In her Statement she highlighted the importance of play as a fundamental right of every child and a powerful tool for learning, development, creativity and inclusion.
“We are pleased that MUZEIKO – Bulgaria’s children’s science center and museum – is once again participating in initiatives promoting the importance of play”, said Krassimira Beshkova. She confirmed that Bulgaria remains committed to advancing policies and partnerships that ensure safe, inclusive and accessible opportunities for play for all.
At Bulgaria’s initiative, children had the opportunity to explore the art of painting, and their creations will be incorporated into an installation dedicated to promoting the right to play.
