Bulgaria joined a joint statement in support of maritime security

Bulgaria joined the Kingdom of Bahrain, President of the United Nations Security Council for the month of April 2026, and a broad group of UN Member States at today’s Security Council press stakeout, underscoring strong international unity on maritime security.
We reaffirm our full support for United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which condemns Iran’s attacks against regional partners and calls for the immediate cessation of actions threatening international peace and security, including interference with freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
