On 11th June 2018, an informative Roundtable was held in London City as one of the events from the calendar of the Bulgarian Embassy in London in the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Roundtable was joined by deputy heads of missions and other diplomats from the embassies of the EU member states and the Representation of the European Commission in London. This event was organised in partnership with Clifford Chance LLP and the association The City UK, which represents the UK-based financial and related professional services industry. The Roundtable was opened by Mrs Teofana Kraynina, deputy head of the Bulgarian Embassy, who presented an overview of the performance of the Bulgarian EU Presidency targeting main priorities. The discussion on hand created an opportunity for the participants to gain familiarity with the views and perspectives on Brexit, set out by the representatives of the financial companies and law firms based in the City. Furthermore, the Roundtable, established an environment for firms to share the fears and challenges they face, concerning the transitioning arrangements of Brexit, in context of future relations between the UK and EU.
