Joint performance in Stockholm of Bulgarian folk songs by Perunika choir and Sedjanka choir

On March 31, 2019, a packed house at Stockholm’s Stallet gave a rousing welcome to the thrilling performance of Bulgarian folk songs by Perunika (Sweden) and Sedjanka (Denmark) female choirs.
For the first time in their history, the two vocal ensembles, founded by the Bulgarian conductor Michael Deltchev, performed together on one stage songs from their rich repertoires of folk songs, arranged for female choir.
The folk songs by composers such as Philip Koutev, Georgi Andreev, Krassimir Kyurkchiyski, Nikolay Kaufman, which have become classics of the Bulgarian folk music heritage, were given a storm of applause by the guests of the concert, that gathered many friends of Bulgaria in Sweden and representatives of the Bulgarian community in the Swedish capital.
