Dear compatriots, dear friends of Bulgaria,

Welcome to the official webpage of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Lisbon.

The diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Portugal have 95-years old history. Almost one century later, our two countries are nowadays close partners and allies within the EU and NATO, enjoying excellent friendly bilateral relations and active cooperation within the multilateral fora. It is a mission of the Embassy in Lisbon to deepen those relations through intensifying the bilateral dialogue among the institutions and the direct people-to-people contacts.

Our cooperation with the Portuguese partners remains focused on the development of the trade and economic relations, as well as on the educational and cultural exchange.

The Embassy will continue to maintain active and fruitful contacts with the Bulgarian community in Portugal and to strive for the preservation of the ties of our compatriots with Bulgaria. Protecting the rights and the interests of the Bulgarian citizens as well as the high quality of the consular services is our key priority.
