Bulgarian National Stand at the Christmas Charity Bazaar of the Diplomatic Corps - Warsaw, December 8, 2019

On December 8, 2019, the traditional Diplomatic Corps Christmas Charity Bazaar was held at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw. The Christmas Charity Sale is organized annually by the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM), under the patronage of the spouse of Polish President Mrs. Agatha Kornhauser - Duda, and aims to raise funds to help needy children, disadvantaged women and the elderly.

More than 60 embassies, the Polish MFA, a number of humanitarian NGOs participated in this year's 12th edition of the bazaar. Numerous visitors had a wide selection of Christmas souvenirs and gifts, authentic national products, food, drinks and accessories from around the world.

The national stand, organized by our Embassy in Warsaw this year, again attracted the attention of visitors with the offered original Christmas souvenirs and decorations, cosmetics from Bulgarian rose, quality Bulgarian wines and delicacies. The success of our presentation was contributed by a team of volunteers, which included employees of the Embassy, ​​Bulgarian Cultural Institute, the Bulgarian Sunday-School "Dora Gabe", the Bulgarian restaurant in Lodz and companies-distributors of Bulgarian goods. The amateur folklore group "Bulgarika" from Warsaw participated in the cultural program of the event, whose presentation was greeted with applause from visitors.

The Bulgarian contribution to the charity fund raised by the bazaar this year reached a record amount of 7030 zlotys (about 1850 euros), making Bulgaria one of the leading donors.
