Bulgaria and Cuba have a long-standing relationship that was initiated almost 60 years ago, but the bond between the people of Bulgaria and Cuba creates a feeling that our nations have known each other for many generations. Thousands of Cubans have studied and worked in Bulgaria and thousands of Bulgarians have done the same in Cuba, creating an invaluable link between the two countries.

Thus, we definitely have already laid a strong foundation in our relationship, which we should farther develop by establishing new contacts and projects of mutual interest in the areas of culture, education, healthcare, tourism and sports and by enhancing the cooperation and trade between our countries.
