Bulgarian participation in the 9th International Sculpture Symposium in Iran
28 November 2019 NewsThe International Sculpture Symposium in Tehran was held from 2nd to 25th November with the participation of representatives from 11 countries – Bulgaria, Argentina, Belarus, Bolivia, India, Iran, China, Peru, Slovenia, Taiwan, and France.
Bulgaria was represented by the well-known sculptor and head of the Sculpture Department of the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” Associated Professor Georgi Minchev, who participates in the symposium for a second consecutive year.
Симпозиумът в Техеран е завършващ етап на продължителен процес на подбор на най-добрите произведения. От общо 406 кандидатури организаторите на фестивала са одобрили 10 чуждестранни и 5 ирански кандидатури. В отделен раздел на симпозиума са взели участие и 10 ирански студенти по скулптура.
The symposium in Tehran was the final stage of a lengthy process of assessing and selecting the best works of art. Ten foreign artists and five Iranian ones were chosen out of total of 406 candidates. Ten Iranian students in sculpture participated in a separate part of the symposium.
