On 5th March 2019 the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Islamic Republic of Iran held a reception on the occasion of the Bulgarian national day. The event was attended by more than 250 guests from the Iranian administration, parliamentarians, the diplomatic corps, academic and cultural circles, non-governmental organizations, businesses, media, and the Bulgarian community. Addresses were delivered by Ambassador Christo Polendakov and the Minister of the Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Mohammad Eslami. The guests were acquainted with the Bulgarian spring custom of the “Martenitsa”, as well as the traditions related to it.
