The students from the Foreign Language School affiliated with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) have a lasting interest in Bulgaria since the Bulgarian Ambassador to China Mr. Grigor Porozhanov visited the school and had a speech during the Opening Ceremony of "Close Contact between Two Distant Countries" - the thematic exhibition on the occasion the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China.

For many years, the Embassy in Beijing has strongly supported the development of the discipline Bulgarian Studies in BFSU, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary. In this regard, the Embassy expressed its support for the competition for "manual copying" of paintings with the theme "With Bulgaria in my heart"organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of BFSU.

Students from 6th and 7th grade at the Foreign Language School took part in this initiative. More than 100 children submitted their drawings for the competition, and the 10 most interesting works were selected.

The drawings will be included in a "collection of memories of the cultural relations between Bulgaria and China", which will be published soon. Through the competition, the students learned a lot about Bulgaria and Bulgarian culture. “
