The Bulgarian Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Natalia Uzunova took part in two consecutive meetings of the Heads of Mission of the EU Member States, organized by the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
On September 15, 2026, in Brussels, the European ambassadors held a working lunch with Jan Jambon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Belgium. On September 16, 2026, in Luxembourg, they held a working lunch with Gilles Roth, Minister of Finance of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The two meetings provided an opportunity for an insightful exchange of views on key issues on the European economic and financial agenda. The presentations and discussions focused on the ongoing negotiations on the next Multiannual Financial Framework. Other topics discussed included budgetary discipline, competitiveness, the Savings and Investment Union, as well as the challenges facing national budgets and the need to strike the right balance between fiscal sustainability, economic growth, and social cohesion.
