Presentation of the Letters of Credence to the Newly Appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Bulgaria to Belgium and Luxembourg, Natalia Uzunova, presented her credentials to Grand Duke Guillaume at a formal ceremony at the Grand Duke's Palace in Luxembourg on March 12, 2026. During the audience, the Bulgarian ambassador thanked Luxembourg for its support of Bulgaria’s accession to the Eurozone and the Schengen are, noting that it was at the Neimënster Abbey of Luxembourg on April 25, 2005, that Bulgaria signed the Treaty of Accession to the EU. During the conversation, the priorities in bilateral relations and the opportunities for the intensification of the political dialogue were discussed. The traditionally good and friendly relations between Bulgaria and Luxembourg were highlighted during the meeting, noting that this year marks the 70th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
On 11 March 2026 the Ambassador Uzunova met with Olivier Baldauff, Director, Chief of protocol of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and handed him copies of her state credential letters, ahead of her meeting with the Grand Duke.
