Тhe Embassy of Bulgaria in Baku celebrated the Day of Valor and the Bulgarian Army with an official reception held оn May 4^th, 2023 at the Fairmont Baku hotel. The event was attended by heads of the military attaché services, accredited in Baku, diplomats and media. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented by Major General Huseyn Mahmudov, Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department.

Following the anthems of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, Colonel Alexander Pavlov - Military, Air and Naval Attaché at the Embassy welcomed the guests and introduced them to the history and the importance of the holiday. In his address, pol. Pavlov pointed out that this is a date on which we pay tribute to the glorious Bulgarian battle flags and honor the self-sacrifice of the Bulgarian soldiers, who played a major role in the path that lead Bulgaria to becoming a sovereign, democratic country, a country respecting and protecting the rights and freedoms of its citizens, a worthy member of the European Union and NATO, part of the family of European states, united by the common values ​​and goals of peace, security and stability.
