The opening ceremony of the 19th Azerbaijan International Tourism and Travel Exhibition – AITF 2023 was held on 4^th April 2023 at Baku Expo Center.

AITF is the largest international tourism exhibition organized in the country and has received the status of a leading international exhibition in the Caucasus region. The fair is organized with the official support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the World Tourism Organization of the United Nations, the National Conference of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and the International Organization of Tourist Exhibitions.

The General Director of Caspian Event Organizers (CEO) Farid Mammadov made an introductory speech at the opening ceremony, which was followed by the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Orkhan Mammadov and Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Nagiyev.

The ambassador of Bulgaria Rouslan Stoyanov, greeted all participants and guests on behalf of the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria Ilin Dimitrov. The importance that Bulgaria attaches to its relations with Azerbaijan, as well as the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism to further strengthen and intensify the bilateral cooperation with the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was strongly emphasized. It was underlined that there are strong expectations that the developing of this bona fide area for social, cultural and economic prosperity and understanding will continue which will help deepen the long-standing friendly relations between our two nations.

Bulgaria is AITF's partner country for yet another year and is represented with a national stand of 63 square meters and a number of advertising activities. The AITF is open to professionals and the general public until April 6, 2023.
