Selection of project proposals

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria wishes to inform that it has started a procedure for selection of project proposals in accordance with the rules approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria concerning the distribution of official development aid and in the context with the bilateral development cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Armenia:
1. Project objectives and scope
- The projects should aim to promote and protect human rights, enhance the access to quality and modern education and foster the empowerment and participation of youth and women in social and economic life in Armenia.
2. Target groups
- representatives of different social and minority groups, youth and adolescent girls and young women, in particular, receiving their education in various educational institutions; female entrepreneurs determined to develop their own small and medium-sized businesses.
3. Expected results
- Enhanced level of participation of youth and women in socio-economic life in Armenia;
- Increased role of youth and female youth, in particular in local governance and communities;
- Strengthening the positive image and visibility of Bulgaria in Armenia.
4. Available financing – up to 15 000 euro per project.
5. The expenses made for the execution of the project activities should meet the following requirements:
- to strictly meet the approved project objectives and activities;
- to be supported by respective invoices and other cost-supporting documents;
- to not exceed the maximum amount available for the project.
6. Eligible activities for financing under the project:
- training activities, preparation of manuals and other training material; scientific research and analytical studies relevant to the topic; awareness-raising campaigns and events related to the project objectives.
7. Project proposals should be submitted to the following e-mail address: [email protected]. The deadline for submission is: 15 September 2018. Please note that project proposals sent by mail or any other means than indicated above will not be considered.

The projects submitted under the Bulgarian development cooperation program should not be submitted for financing or have previously received grants by other donors. To avoid duplication, the beneficiary may be requested to sign an affidavit should the project get approved.
The Bulgarian Embassy reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals without incurring any obligation to inform the affected applicant(s) of the grounds of such decisions.
