The Association of Diplomats in Stockholm organized the first ever diplomatic wine festival on May 17, 2019. Twelve countries major producers of wine from all over the world were invited to take part in the event, hosted by the Embassy of Poland. Bulgaria was represented by Abdiyka Winery, in cooperation by the Trade and Economic Office of the Bulgarian Embassy in Sweden.

The event was attended by more than 250 guests from the Stockholm diplomatic corps and representatives of the Swedish institutions and business community, as well as of international organizations based in Stockholm.

The guests of festival had an opportunity to vote for best participating wine country. The host – Poland, came out on first place, tightly followed by Bulgaria on second place and New Zealand on third.

Abdyika Winery presented two if its wines – the red 2016 First Selection Reserva and the 2018 Rosè Melnik, which are available in shops in Sweden and are becoming the preferred choice of wine for a growing number of admirers of good-quality wine in Sweden.
