Selected Bulgarian Books Donated to the Grand People’s Study House of the DPRK

On 20 October 2026, the Chargé dAffaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Pyongyang Daniel Rupanov visited the Grand People’s Study House of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The occasion was the donation of a selection of books about Bulgaria that were curated and kindly donated by St. Cyril and Methodius National Library of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The Bulgarian representative was welcomed by the Head of the International Affairs Section of the Grand People’s Study House Ms. Kim Mi Rae. The Korean side expressed deep gratitude for the generous donation, emphasizing that the books will find a fitting place within the collection of the Grand Peoplе’s Study House.
Both sides agreed that these valuable publications will contribute to the improvement of the mutual understanding between the two nations. They further expressed confidence that cooperation between the libraries of Bulgaria and Korea will continue to develop in the spirit of the long-standing friendly ties between the two peoples.
