One of the initiatives on the occasion of 15 years since the establishment of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs is the new project for presenting contemporary Bulgarian cinema online abroad. In the conditions in which the whole world found itself due to the pandemic of COVID 19, it is becoming increasingly clear that the introduction to the Bulgarian culture is more often virtual. That is why the team of SIC, through the project "BG screen online" offers selected Bulgarian films to be available to Bulgarians around the world starting during the month of enlightening.

In the period from November 20 to December 6 you may follow the program "BG screen online". The selection of 22 Bulgarian film offers a range of genres and thematic diversity. The package includes feature films, short films, documentary film projects, animated films. The host of the project is NETERA - an Internet platform designed for Bulgarians abroad, which offers high quality and reliable distribution of television, video and radio content.

The project is designed and accessible to the public outside Bulgaria and is implemented with Bulgarian diplomatic and consular missions around the world.

The State Institute for Culture has permanently established support and assistance for the presentation of contemporary film productions to Bulgarian and foreign audiences (taking into account the growing role of cinema as a strong tool of cultural diplomacy) in its activities and programs over the years.
