The Mission Gallery Hosted Its First EUNIC-Sofia Cluster Meeting
The Mission Gallery was host of a work meeting of the EUNIC Sofia cluster. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Kirsten Hackenbroch, Director of the Goethe-Institut Bulgaria and of the EUNIC-Sofia cluster.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between cultural institutes and foreign embassies in Bulgaria, together with local partners, for the upcoming calendar year. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Pepa Peneva from the Open Space Foundation, as well as Ms. Boryana Dzambazova and Mr. Ivan Radev from the Association of European Journalists in Bulgaria. They gave an overview of the activities of their respective organizations, with an emphasis on their recent projects and initiatives. The meeting furthermore examined the possibilities for organizing and implementing a joint project in the coming months, on the topic of sustainability.
The State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs was represented by Mr. Yavor Koynakov, a.i. Director of the Institute, Ms. Nia Tabakova, Head of Department, and Ms. Pavla Radeva, Chief Expert and Coordinator in the EUNIC Global network. This is the first time the Mission Gallery has hosted a EUNIC meeting. At the meeting, artists Maya Spasova and Iris Dittler had the opportunity to present their exhibition "At Least 4 Hugs A Day, At Least 30 Seconds Each", which can be viewed at the Mission Gallery until May 7.
