Participation of the Mobile Exhibition "Directions" in the International Festival Of Photography and Debate "ValenciaPhoto"
From September 11 to 22, 2024, the city of Valencia will host the international photography and debate festival "ValenciaPhoto" (https://valenciaphoto.es/programa/). The festival has been held in Valencia for 23 years and is organized by the international photography school Espaid´arts, and the director of the festival is the eminent expert in landscape photography and aesthetics, Nicolás Llorens. In 2023 the festival was visited by over 20,000 people from all over Spain and abroad.
"ValenciaPhoto" is a festival dedicated to amateurs and professionals whose photographs show characteristic aspects of different countries such as customs, portraits and landscapes. The international event is held under the patronage of the Regional Government of Valencia (Generalitat Valenciana) with the support of the Municipality of Valencia and popular museums and cultural institutions in the Mediterranean city.
In this year's edition of the festival, the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria will take part with two cultural performances.
On September 19 at 19:00 in the El Almudin Palace-Museum building in the historical center of the city, a large photographic exhibition on the theme "From Valencia to the World" will be opened, the aim of which is to show the similarities between different countries and cultures . With the assistance of the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Valencia, our country will be presented with the photographic exhibition "Directions" of the State Institute for Culture to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The exhibition includes images taken by photography enthusiasts, regardless of age and professional experience, which reflect the themes of globalization, identity, intercultural dialogue and tolerance between different nations and aims to promote Bulgarian talented photographers and the rich Bulgarian culture to the Spanish public as well , as well as among the large Bulgarian diaspora in the consular district of Valencia.
On September 18 at 5:00 p.m. in the "Pilar Faus" Public Library, Bulgaria will be presented with the book "Ruse for the First Time in Bulgaria" by one of its co-authors, Eng. Yovcho Stoyanov and the deputy mayor for education and culture of the city Ruse Encho Enchev. The book was published in 2023. with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse, in partnership with the Regional History Museum, the State Archive and the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov" of the city. One of the authors of the book, Eng. Yovcho Stoyanov, is the co-author of numerous other books and exhibitions dedicated to the history of the city of Ruse and the Ruse region. In 2012 Engineer Yovcho Stoyanov created the Facebook page Roustchouk, which has 26,000 followers, and in 2017 - the website https://roustchouk.com, which presents photos and articles from the history of Ruse.
Within the framework of the "ValenciaPhoto" festival, conferences, debates, book presentations, screenings will also be held in the main emblematic historical buildings of the city of Valencia: the Palace of Carveillo (Palacio de Cervelló), the Silk Museum (El Museo de la seda), The Museum of Modern Art (MUVIM), the Palace of Communications (El Palao de las comunicaciones-former post office building), the old seafood market (La Lonja), the Town Hall Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento), the Plaza de la Reina, the State Library (La Biblioteca Pública) and others.
The event will be attended by representatives of the consular corps in the city of Valencia, as well as the local government. The festival is part of the cultural events for the month of September in the city of Valencia and will be covered by all the local media.
