On January 16, 2025, the international exhibition "Vibration. The fluid movement of a human body" was officially opened in the "Mission" gallery at the State Institute for Culture, with the participation of three artists - the Bulgarian Nikolay Delianev, based in Rome, and the Italian artists Francesco Patane and Tarim Tatusic (Filippo de Luca). The event, which is realized in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia and the Italian Embassy in Sofia, is part of the program to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Special guests of the exhibition were diplomats from the Embassy of Italy in Bulgaria, the Ambassador of Hungary to Bulgaria - H.E. Miklos Boros, the Director of the Italian Institute in Sofia, Ms. Maria Mazza, the Director of the Hungarian Cultural Institute “Franz Liszt” – Sandra Miškedi, diplomats, artists and representatives of the media and art connoisseurs.

The exhibition was officially opened by Snezhana Joveva-Dimitrova, Director the State Institute for Culture, who stated:

“I am delighted to open 2025 – the year in which we celebrate 20 years since the establishment of the institute – with this impressive international event. The exhibition “Vibration” is a true cultural message that reminds us of the power of art to create bridges between cultures and to connect us on a deeper, human level. The partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia on this project shows the Sofia audience three contemporary artists who are presented in today's exhibition, curated by Dorothea Yaneva, an art historian.”

The director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia, Maria Mazza, welcomed the audience and emphasized the importance of the cultural dialogue between Bulgaria and Italy:

“We are honored to support this project, which demonstrates not only the creative connection between the two countries, but also the universal language of art – a language that vibrates beyond words and touches our souls.”

The curator of the exhibition, Dorothea Yaneva, spoke more about the concept:

“This exhibition is an in-depth study of the human body – as a carrier of energy, vibrations and movement. The combination of the three different artistic approaches creates a space in which art becomes a mediator between the visible and the invisible, between emotion and matter.”

Nikolai Delianev presents works built from intense geometric compositions and overlays of colors. He combines rhythm and synchrony in forms, creating works that resemble a symphony of vibrations. Inspired by movement, Delianev translates the energy and dynamics of the body into a sensory and visual experience.

Francesco Patane is an architect by training, but painting is his main creative path. He experiments with unconventional materials such as acrylic and asphalt on jute canvases, creating visual effects of disintegration and movement. For the exhibition, he presents a large-scale triptych measuring 12 square meters, depicting the dance between a man and a horse - a work that breaks down human movement to its vibrational elements.

Tarim Tatusik (Filippo de Luca) uses modern technologies such as 3D printing and digital modeling to explore the deformations of the human body. His colorful sculptures show how energy and emotion transform form, exploring the boundaries between the abstract and the real.

The exhibition “Vibration. The fluid movement of a human body” will run until February 28, 2025.
