The Film "Petya to My Petya" was Part of the European Film Days in Ankara
On December 11, 2024, the Bulgarian feature film "Petya to My Petya" (2021, dir. Alexander Kosev) was presented to an audience in Ankara during the 14th edition of the European Film Days dedicated to the theme of "Human Rights" (EU Human Rights Film Days - EUHRFD). The event was organized by the EU Delegation in Ankara with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Turkey, the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and the Department of Bulgarian Language and Literature at Ankara University.
The screening was held in front of a full house, and immediately after it a short Q&A discussion was held, in which the audience had the opportunity to talk to the film's producer Nikolay Urumov. The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Mevsim, a lecturer at Ankara University.
The film "Petya to My Petya" inspired viewers with its touching story dedicated to social issues and human rights and left a lasting impression on the international audience within the framework of the cultural initiative.
