Maria Vassileva Popova, Parliamentary Secretary

Since May 2010, acting Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Maria Popova has a Master’s degree in law from the Neofit Rilsky Southwestern University in the City of Blagoevgrad, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Control from the same university. She is a certified attorney, having passed her Bar exam in 2009.

Between July 2009 and April 2010, Ms. Popova worked at the State Legal Advisory Department of the Ministry of Finance, where she provided legal assistance to the Minister for the lawful discharge of his duties with regard to the State Ownership Act. Before that, she was employed in accounting in the private sector.
