The bust of Vasil Levski in Buenos Aires, which was damaged in an attempted theft on January 16, 2022, has been restored and is now in place at the Barrancas de Belgrano Park in the Argentine city. According to our embassy in Argentina, members of the Bulgarian community will have the opportunity to traditionally honor the memory of the Apostle in front of the monument at a commemorative event, which will be held on February 19, 2022 at 10:30.
After the unsuccessful attempt to steal the monument, thwarted by the quick reaction of the police, our diplomatic mission immediately contacted the mayor of the municipality of Belgrano, and the Argentine side took all necessary actions to quickly restore the bust.
