In response to the urgent UN appeal for the reconstruction of Haiti and to the appeal of UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova to the Organisation’s Member States to finance the crisis restoring of the educational system of Haiti, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nickolay Mladenov approved the provision of financial support amounting to USD 100,000 out of the Bulgarian Trust Fund at UNESCO.
