Recommendation for Bulgarian citizens traveling to South Sudan

Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly warns Bulgarian citizens against any travel to the Republic of South Sudan. Security situation in the country is extremely unstable as their is an ongoing violent conflict.

The South Sudanese government is currently engaged in an armed conflict with rebel units which began with an outbreak of violence in the capital Juba in December 2013, and continues until in different areas with varying intensity. The whole country is characterized by domestic political instability.
