The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria strongly condemns the sixth nuclear test conducted by the DPRK
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria strongly condemns the sixth nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 3 September 2017.
This latest grave provocation is a serious violation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and of the IAEA Safeguards Agreement. Bulgaria categorically condemns such actions, which lead to further escalation of the tensions in the region and undermine world peace and security.
We call upon the DPRK to stop once and for all its nuclear and ballistic programmes in a complete and irreversible manner, fully complying with its international obligations, as well as to engage in a constructive dialogue with the international community in order to find a peaceful way out of the situation.
